Some sources  will tell you this is important.  After all, you are not the only one getting a copy of that article.  Many people may buy the same pack over time, which may make you think of the so-called duplicate content theory.  However, this does not actually occur for the most part.

There is a lot of debate over the duplicate content theory; however, Google’s own policies prove that this doesn’t exist.  The only duplicate content penalty that is applied is where the same content occurs on multiple pages of a site.  It doesn’t count multiple occurrences of the same content on different sites around the Internet.

That being said, if your site is brand new with all PLR articles on it, you may want to rewrite some of it.  Even adding a brief introduction, or changing the title should be enough to get around the duplicate content penalty.

If you are using these articles as a report or an autoresponder series, you don’t need to rewrite them.  You can just put your own name on them without changing a thing!

When You Must Rewrite PLR

There are some times when you absolutely must rewrite these articles.  This includes when you submit it to article directories that require original content.  Also, you may not use these as they are as a PLR product you intend to sell.  You must rewrite it to at least 80% difference.

How to Rewrite PLR

The most important parts of any article to rewrite is the title, closely followed by the first paragraph.  You can also use it as an idea to start your own blog post.  As you write, think about improving the article instead of just rewriting it.  For example, if an article provides 3 tips, you can add a fourth.  You can also add in stories from your own life that relate to the topic.  Other ideas include quotes, examples, opposing viewpoints, pictures, charts, and graphs.

1. Add them to your website.  You can use these as is, or rewrite them slightly before using.  You can even take an excerpt and use it as a tip section on your site.
2. Use them for backlinking.  I recommend you rewrite them before using them as a backlink.  If you do this, make sure at least the first paragraph and the title are rewritten.
3. Send them in a newsletter.  If you are using an autoresponder for your blog, you’ll know the value of sending your customers quality content.  With these articles, you don’t have to write anything new.  Just copy and paste them into your message, and you’re done!
4. Record them as a podcast.  You can even sell a collection of podcasts if you want.
5. Record them as videos.  Make a simple slideshow using Powerpoint, and submit them to video sites to get more traffic to your website.
6. Combine them to make your own book or report.  Then use that as a giveaway for your blog, sell it, or even publish it on Amazon!
7. Create a membership site.  You can add PLR articles on your topic every month, and get a monthly deposit in your Paypal account.

These are just a few ideas to get started with!  The only thing you can’t do with these articles is resell them as PLR.  This keeps them from losing their value.

• Those who need content for your blog.
• Those who need content for backlinks.
• Those who need original content for your writer to rewrite.
• Those who need content for a report or ebook.
• Those who need helpful content for an autoresponder series.
• Those who don’t like to write.
• Those who don’t want to hire an outsourcer.
• Those who need to save money.

Any of these reasons can be enough to buy PLR content.  But where should you get PLR from?  You want to make sure you are getting fresh, quality content, not rehashed articles that get passed around the Internet over and over again.
